There are 10 on varsity and 11 on JV with no swing players, at least to start the season. The varsity is senior heavy as there are 9 seniors this year. Returning players who started at least some games are Riley Shears, Phil Schwartz, Levi Gehring and Nate Forsmann, all seniors. Seniors Chase VonBargen, Max Rehder, Caden Armbrust and Jackson Enneking were mostly swing players last season as was the squad’s only junior, Kade Quintal. A big addition to the team will be senior Patrick Schlader who was on team last year but unable to play due to a knee injury. Coach Tim Scheffler says Schlader will be a big help to the team. He is a likely starter. On the JV team this years are sophomores Stetson Hankins, Matthew Jones and Phineas Fitch and freshmen Sam Rehder, Cooper Riener, Gabe Severns, Matt Frei, Ray Terhaar, Isaiah Warren, Austin Labrum and Anthony Forsmann. Justin Jones returns after a couple of years away as a JV coach and Noah Behler will also be a JV coach. Pat Holthaus returns as an assistant.
