Family attacked in their home
Three Craigmont men are in the Idaho County Jail facing felony and misdemeanor charges following an incident Saturday, May 8 at Cottonwood in which three members of a family were assaulted.
The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office reported that 3 men entered the John Riener home in Cottonwood and assaulted three members of the Riener family at about 8:30 p.m.
Officers arrived on the scene in about 13 minutes, according to John Nida of the ICSO. The subjects fled in their vehicle and were pursued. Officer Vince Frazier of the sheriff’s office finally stopped the vehicle north of Cottonwood and took them into custody.
Michael Bigsy, 21, Nacsan Irby, 21, and Keaton Irby, 19 were arraigned Monday, May 10 on felony charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, burglary and malicious injury to property and misdemeanor charges of battery and trespass.
The people who were assaulted were taken to St. Mary’s Hospital, treated and released Sunday.
