Buggy Whip Festival this year
The Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce met Thursday morning, May 13 and since no one has offered to serve as chairman for the 2004 Buggy Whip Festival, the event will not be held. The Chamber will have a table at the 4th Annual Business Forum to be held at the Community Hall on Wednesday, May 19 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The dumpsters provided by the city for the city-wide cleanup were not used very much. Suggestions were to do it earlier or maybe later in the Spring. Bad weather this year during cleanup week may have been a problem as well. The dumpsters were for bulky items and for yard cleanup and trimmings. The next Chamber meeting will be Thursday, June 10, at 7:30 a.m. at Coffee Mill Creations. |
