Summer Reading Program attendees make butter
Last week at the Prairie Community Library, several children joined the fun, with the highlight of the day being when they made butter from fresh dairy cream donated by Mike and Teena VonBargen.
Each child was given a small container, which held the cream. The children then shook their jars until the butter separated. They were quite amazed!
The children in the photo above are pictured with their own “signature rock,” as part of their discovery of new trails.
