Seven baptized on 1 day
St. Mary’s Church in Cottonwood was the scene of multiple celebrations on November 27, 2004. Father Camillus Temba, ALCP was the celebrant as seven children were received into the church through the sacrament of baptism. Recipients were: Hannah Elizabeth, Chase William, Cole Charles, and Cody Paul Baerlocher; Tyler David Gehring; Christian Carl Welp; and Keenan Avery Shears.
Hannah, Chase, and Cole are the children of Corey and Melissa Baerlocher of Colfax WA Their Godparents are Shari and Jeff Hottinger, Lewiston ID, Shawn and Tessa Baerlocher, Melbourne FL, and Bill and Sheila Frei, Lewiston ID. Grandparents are Milton and Shirley Baerlocher of Cottonwood, and Gary and Judy Moore of Colfax. Great Grandmother’s are Mildred Baerlocher of Cottonwood, and Martha Lorentz of Plummer, ID.
All those baptized with parents, godparents and Fr. Temba.
Cody is the son of Shawn and Tessa Baerlocher of Melbourne FL. His Godparents are Shari and Jeff Hottinger of Lewiston. Sisters are Brittany and Ashley. Grandparents are Milton and Shirley Baerlocher of Cottonwood, and Rose Gulick of Melbourne FL. Great Grandmother’s are Mildred Baerlocher of Cottonwood, and Martha Lorentz of Plummer ID.
Tyler is the son of Shane and Amy Gehring of Meridian ID. His Godparents are Kevin Funke of Cottonwood and Brenda Eller of Kamiah ID, Sisters are Victoria and Brooke, Grandparents are Dave and Claudia Gehring and Bob and Gloria Funke of Cottonwood ID. Great Grandparents are Elaine Schumacher, Greencreek, and Clarence and Agnes Scharnhorst of Cottonwood.
Christian is the son of Christian and Jill Welp of Lewiston ID. His Godparents are Linda Welp of Iowa and Jaacob Welp of Denver CO. Grandparents are Tim and Arleen Uhlenkott and Linda Welp and Joe Welp.
Keenan is the son of David and Erin Shears of Cottonwood ID. His Godparents are Dean and Nikki Shears of Millcreek WA. His sister is Madison, Grandparents are Joe and Kathy Kuther of Greencreek, and Dave and Theresa Shears of Craigmont ID. Great grandparents are Ed and Norma Schumacher of Greencreek.
This celebration was attended by many other extended family members and private receptions were held at the respective homes. As far as is known, this is a record of infant/toddler baptisms for St. Mary’s Parish.
