Hospitals and clinics collect for tsunami relief
Clearwater Valley Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital and their satellite clinics in Kamiah, Craigmont, Nezperce, Kooskia, and Pierce will be collecting donations for the Red Cross to add to the massive relief program to aid victims of the recent tsunami and earthquake in Southeast Asia and Indonesia.
Checks should be made out to Red Cross and either dropped off at the hospitals’ business office or at the local clinics.  They can also be mailed to Sr. Barbara Jean Glodowski, Mission Integration Director, SMHC, PO Box 137, Cottonwood, ID  83522 or CVHC, 301 Cedar St., Orofino, ID  83544. A deadline of Jan. 28 is being set for this program so get your checks in by then.
“The Mission Integration committees at both hospitals decided the relief fund would be an important project because it reflects all four of the Core Values we implement at our facilities, Hospitality, Respect, Justice and Stewardship,” said Sr. Barbara Jean.  “Our staff will be contributing, but we thought we’d provide an opportunity for our communities to contribute also.”
