meeting is Friday
There will be a meeting Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Prairie High School cafeteria for parent and players to meet the new football coaching staff. Travis Mader has been named the new head football coach with Teel Bruner, Ron Sigler and Steve Wilson as assistant coaches. This is a chance to meet the new coaches and set up summer programs for the players. Open gym for Prairie athletes Prairie High School will have open gym for Prairie athletes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. each day. This will start Monday, June 6. Coaches Danette Moea’i, Dave Snodgrass and Travis Mader will be opening up the gym for all PHS athletes to lift weights, play volleyball, basketball and football with the batting cages also set up and jump training available. Zephyrs to start season The Camas Prairie Zephyrs will be starting their season Wednesday, June 1st. Practice will start at 6:00 P.M. in Cottonwood. We would like to see a few more players come out for summer baseball. As of right now we have 11 guys committed to play. I sure would like to see a few more player’s names on the roster. The Zephyrs have a great summer ahead of them. We have 31 games scheduled between June 5th and July 16th. We will be playing in 3 out of town tournament in Meridian, St. Maries, Wooden Bat Tournament, and the Lewiston Clancy Ellis Tournament. Besides the 3 tournaments out of the area this season, we will host the 16-19 State Tournament in Grangeville the week of July 18-23. Anyone interested in volunteering some time for help for the state tournament should contact Ken Heath at 983-2739. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Come out and support the Zephyrs.
