Babe Ruth team takes second
The Prairie Pirate Babe Ruth team ended its regular season on June 18th with a second place finish at the Central Idaho League tournament.  They lost in the championship game to Grangeville 6-4.
For the year, the Pirate team had an official record of 11-5, which included 5 games against Moscow and Lewiston Babe Ruth teams.
Awards received by the Pirate players at the league tournament included home run pins to Devin Schmidt, Ronnie Chandler, and Eric Daly.  David Sigler was named the league batting champion.  Taylor Rieman garnished the team’s Sportsmanship Award.  Nita Chandler was named “Team Mom”.
13 year old All-Star selections from the Prairie team were Kyle Holthaus, Dylan Prigge, Conner Rieman, and David Sigler.  14 year olds named to the All-Star team include Ronnie Chandler, Eric Daly, Kyle Daly, Michael Matson and Joe Schumacher.
The Central Idaho League All-Stars will compete in the District Babe Ruth Tournament in Moscow, from July 15th to July 16th.
