Craigmont Clinic to remain open
The Craigmont Medical Clinic will continue its regular hours, Monday and Wednesdays.  It will be staffed by Megan Wilson, SMHC Family Nurse Practitioner, during the month of August.
“We will keep the Craigmont clinic open because we know how much the residents appreciate having access to local medical care,” said Theresa Uptmor, SMHC Clinics Coordinator.  “Although Dr. Edwards will be sorely missed, we have the utmost confidence in all our providers.  Megan will make a perfect fit at the Craigmont Clinic.”
Wilson joined the SMHC medical staff last April.  She has 12 years experience as a flight nurse, eight years working in an Emergency Department, five years in pediatric nursing and three years as a nursing instructor.
Prior to working in southern Idaho, Illinois and Oregon, Wilson worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at SMH from 1984 to 1988.  She graduated from Prairie High School and completed her FNP degree at the University of Missouri and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Idaho State University in 1992.
“We’ve also contracted with Dr. Timothy Cox who will begin sharing coverage in late August until we find a permanent replacement for Dr. Edwards,” said Uptmor.  “The medical records will remain at the Craigmont Medical Clinic and we’ll continue business as usual.”
