Appleseed's birthday celebrated
Did you know that Johnny Appleseed's birthday was on September 26th? First graders did! First grade students in Cindy Schumacher's and Sherry Holthaus's classes celebrated Johnny's birthday by making and baking their own mini apple pies. The first graders decided this was a great treat in honor of John Chapman, also known as Johnny Appleseed.
