offers essay competition
The V.F.W. sponsored Patriot’s Pen essay competition in progress. The essay competition is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students enrolled in public, private or parochial schools. Home-schooled students also are eligible. The theme for 2005 is “Who are Today’s Patriots.” The deadline is November 1, 2005. Information is available at the schools or you may call 962-3933. Awards will be given at each level of competition, with the local Post 4902 awarding a $50.00 prize for first to a first place national prize of a $10,000.00 U.S. Savings Bond. |
