school to hold Veterans Day program
Veterans Day Celebration to Honor Veterans - November 11th - Prairie Elementary Gym Once again, Prairie Elementary would like to invite Veterans and their families to our annual Veterans Day Program. We will celebrate Veterans Day on Friday, November 11th at 2:25 p.m. in the Prairie Elementary gym. We are thankful for everything Veterans and their families have done for America, and this is our way of saying "Thank You - for freedom in the U.S.A.". We are making a "Veteran Wall of Honor" by the 1st grade classrooms and would appreciate any photographs or scanned pictures of Veterans that we could display. We'd like to know the name, rank and branch of the military for each veteran, and if they have any special connection to a Prairie Elementary student - grandfather, cousin, friend, etc. We will display scanned photos sent last year if we still have them. Please email photos to Mrs. Laurie Karel at karel@sd242.k12.id.us , or, you may drop photos off at the school and we will scan them for you. |
