Idaho County 4-H’er Wins District & State Sewing Awards
Idaho County 4-H member, Kylie Uhlorn, recently received top Kylie Uhlornhonors at the 2005 Idaho 4-H Wool Contest Sewing Awards.  Kylie received the first place award of $100 at the District level and the third place award of $150 at the State level in the advanced sewing division.  The awards were presented to her at the Idaho State 4-H Forum in Post Falls on October 22, 2005.
The promotional division of the Idaho Wool Growers Association offers the sewing awards to Idaho 4-H members who make garments from wool fabric.  Contestants who participate are judged at the county, district, and state levels on the construction and fit of the garment, as well as an interview and a Wool Contest Portfolio each contest must submit.
Kylie is pictured in the outfit she constructed.  A black, one button jacket and black, white, and coral plaid dress slacks.  She has been an Idaho County 4-H member for 8 years and is a member of the Indoor/Outdoor 4-H Club. Kylie is the daughter of Darrel and Mary Uhlorn of Cottonwood.
