Tillinghast wins state contest
Superintendent of Public Instruction Marilyn Howard recently announced the winner of the State Department of Education’s annual holiday art contest. Each year, elementary students from across Idaho are invited to submit artwork to be considered for the superintendent’s holiday card. The overall winner’s artwork is used for the card and the student receives a $10 prize. This year’s winner is fifth-grader Cody Tillinghast of Prairie Middle School, Cottonwood. Tillinghast submitted a watercolor picture of a deer in a snowy forest.
