Nau awarded rank of Eagle Scout
Jared Nau, 18, of Troop 638, will be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on Dec. 29, 2005.
The Eagle Court of Honor will be held in the Ferdinand Community Hall at 6:00 p.m.  All are invited to share this honor with him.  Jared is the son of Greg and Wendy Nau of Ferdinand.Jared Nau
He began his scouting career as a Tiger Cub (1992) in Okinawa, Japan.  He earned his Bobcat, Wolf and Bear ranks while in Okinawa.  He earned his Webelos badge, Arrow of Light, and crossed over into Boy Scouts, earning his Basic Scout, Tenderfoot and Second Class ranks while living in Germany.
Jared has earned “The Light of Christ” “Parvuli Dei”, “Ad Altare Dei” scouting religious awards for the Catholic Church.  Jared is involved with several activities, he is a member of the Prairie Pirates Basketball team, active in the church youth group, and is on the Knowledge Bowl team.  Jared is a senior at Prairie High School.
His older brother, Christopher has been an excellent role model; he was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout in May 2000.  His sister, Elizabeth (Beth), has been very supportive of the Boy Scouts, serving on Boards of review and as a committee member.
