This past weekend 9 girls from Prairie (8th & 7th graders) played in the Love of the Game Basketball tourney in Lapwai. The team was coached by Teel Bruner, Becky & Bryan Higgins. The Prairie team lost to High Voltage, Lapwai & CV, but was able to defeat Potlatch. Players were: Casey Bruegeman, Samantha Frei, Hilaree VanderPas, Makenzie Moea’i, back row. Meaghan Bruner, Hailey Schmidt, Alena Hoene, and NaTosha Schaeffer front row. (not pictured Amber Holthaus) The girls and parents would like to thank the coaches Teel, Becky & Bryan for volunteering to coach the girls. They had a great time and made fun memories.

The Boys Varsity Basketball team will be eating lunch with the 3rd and 4th graders next Wednesday. They have also been invited to attend the game against Grangeville on Thursday, January 12th. We will have a special seating section and have been asked to wear/bring any school spirit stuff we have (that's right Pee Wee Pirates - time to show your stuff)! Mrs. Schu's class will have the Spirit Store open on Monday and Tuesday next week during lunch recess if anyone needs to stock up on bandannas, flags, tattoos, or pom poms.
