The Cottonwood Federal Credit Union has received national ranking according to the July 11 issue of the Credit Union Journal.
Idaho County Commissioner Jim Rehder visits the Aug. 11 meeting of the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce giving an update on county concerns.
Daniel Forsmann and Jeff Clark received their “white coats” Aug. 28 during an induction into the Pharmacy program at WSU.
Pacific Cabinets to host Open House at the new office building Sept. 16.
Community yard sale raises $1450 for Katrina relief.
Dawn Bower and Dan Enneking are Homecoming King and Queen at Prairie High School.

DEATHS
Clarence H. Rieman, 86, died Aug. 19 at his home in the Lewiston Orchards.  He was born Oct. 6, 1918 at Ferdinand to Ben and Mary Rieman.
Valetta (Stolz) Baron, 67, died Aug. 6 in Arvada, Col.
Louise “Dolly” Mager, 69, died Sept. 24.  She was born March 19, 1936 in Greencreek to Henry and F. and Cathryn Nuxoll.
CELEBRATE
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Leonard celebrate 50 years together at Boise Aug. 20.
Freda Terhaar to celebrate her 90th birthday Oct. 3.  She was born in Greencreek in 1915 to Frank H. and Mary A. (Nuxoll) Arnzen.

Maria Ann Wassmuth to Rodney Todd Werber to wed Oct. 1 in Boise.
Adam Benjamin Seubert and Karin Rossland Foley to wed Oct. 8 in Washington, D.C.

The post office begins to change route addresses to road names in the area.
Sister Corrine Forsman joins the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and Clearwater Valley Hospital as the Mission Integration Director.
Carolyn Sonnen and Ashley Nuxoll are students of the month at Prairie High School for September.
DeAnna Reed and Adeline Lustig are students of the month at Prairie High School for October.
The Pirates defeat Lapwai 26-20 in play Friday, Oct. 21 at5 Cottonwood.
DEATHS
James H. “Hal” Rickman, 77, died Oct. 8 at Sublimity, Oregon.  He was a former teacher and coach at St. Gertrude’s Academy.
Richard A. Buettner, 70, died Sept. 2 at his home in Maple Valley, Wash.  He was born in Cottonwood June 21, 1935.
MARRIAGE
Kristin Gayle Eckert weds Christopher Robert Little July 30 at Lake Tahoe, Nev.
BIRTHS
Michael Scott Cegnar was born Sept. 29 to Beth and Scott Cegnar of Boise.
Ethan John Von Bargen was born Sept. 19 to Jamie Kerslake and Joe VonBargen of Corbett, Oregon.
Lauren Ann Remacle was born Oct. 20 to Aaron and Amanda Remacle of Lewiston.
ENGAGEMENT
Maurice Seubert and Heather Divine to wed Oct. 29.
NOVEMBER
19 earn all A’s at Prairie High School.
17 earn all A’s at Middle School.
A crew for the Home & Garden Network was in town Sunday to film at Dog Bark Park.
Diana Geis and Kylie Uhlorn are students of the month at Prairie High School for the month of November.
DEATHS
Harvella E. Spengler, 88, died Oct. 26 in Boise.  Services Saturday, Nov. 5 at Cottonwood.  She was born March 19, 1917 in Helmer, ID.
Bertha F. Kopczynski, 82, died Nov. 11 in an automobile accident near Winchester.  She was born Nov. 30, 1922 in Greencreek, Ill.  Bertha is remembered for her baked goods and quilt making by family and friends.
Hilda P. Frei, 96, died Nov. 19 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Cottonwood.  She was born April 5, 1909 in Cottonwood to Mike and Mary Nuxoll Seubert.
WEDDING
Magalene Marie Anderson wed Matthew Charles Uhlenkott May 1, 2005 in Denver.
CELEBRATION
Mark and Maxine Tacke celebrate 50 years together Saturday, Nov. 26, with an Open House at the Cottonwood Community Hall.  They were married Nov. 5, 1955.
DECEMBER
Twenty-two merchants join the Cottonwood Chronicle in the annual Christmas coloring contest for the children of the area.
The Hat & Mitten Hayride by the students at Prairie was held Sunday, Dec. 11.
The Butte Ski are looked at a Dec. 18 opening but our cold weather turned dry and then warm and wet with rain.
Jared Nau, 18, makes Eagle Scout in a ceremony Dec. 29, 2005.
Scouts and students at the Middle and High school worked on canned food drives to help keep the food pantry stocked for the winter.
DEATHS
Margaret E. Spencer, 85, died Nov. 24 at Lewiston.  She and her husband Vada had owned the Cottonwood Sales Yard.
Verl I. Chicane, 96, died Dec. 21.  He was born Aug. 29, 1909 in Oregon.  In 2004 he was honored with a plaque at a high school basketball game by the Prairie Booster Club.
Bonnie L. Ruhoff, 53, died Dec. 21.  She was born May 22, 1952 in Cottonwood to Betty and Bernard Seubert.

Paul Joshua Stanley Gaeke was born Nov. 19 to Paul and Maureen Kopczynski Gaeka of Denver, Col.
Ryan James Jentges was born Oct. 4 to Raymond and Christine Jentges of Newberg, Oregon.
Sheri Lynn Enneking was born Dec. 6 to Tom and Anna Enneking of Chico, Cal.
Levi Leonard Wassmuth was born Nov. 23 to Eric and Alea Wassmuth.
CELEBRATION
Shorty and Marge Arnzen to celebrate 50 years together with an open house Dec. 17 at the Greencreek Community Hall.  They were married Dec. 27, 1955 in Spokane.
WEDDING
Kelly Rasmussen married Porter Lacey July 2 in Santa Ana, Cal.
