Ski Scoop
The snow at Cottonwood Butte Ski Area held steady this weekend even though we had a lot of skiers on it.  The cold temperature kept it solid and everyone enjoyed skiing the fast hard pack.
We hosted 122 skiers from Prairie Middle School on Friday.  The sun was shining and everyone totally enjoyed the snow.  This week we will be hosting skiers from Kamiah on Thurs. Feb. 16th.
Everyone, who purchased a lift pass on Sunday, was entered in a drawing for Valentine candy.  The winners of our Sweetheart contest were Hailey Schmidt of Greencreek and Mike Raymond from Kamiah.
We are planning some fun events for this coming weekend also so check in the lodge to see what’s going on.  Saturday night will be our last long day so if you want to do some nigh skiing, this will be the time.  We will be open Sat. 10 am to 9pm, Sun 10 am to 4 pm and Mon. 10 am to 4 pm.  There is only a short time left for skiing, as spring is quickly approaching.  We plan to be open through March 5, if winter on the Butte hangs around.
We would encourage everyone to come up and check out our rentals and ski school.  We have the latest technology in skiing equipment and boards, making your experience a safe and enjoyable one.  We have helmets available for anyone to try out and encourage everyone to use them.  Those who do say they are warm and comfortable.  We have all ages on skis and it is fun for them to be enjoying the same sport together.  It’s a great place for families to spend a fun day together and you’d be surprised what you can learn about your child as you ride the lift together.
