Rodeo set for Father's Day
The Central Idaho Rodeo Association will hold a rodeo at the ‘Arena In The Pines’ in Winchester, Idaho on Fathers Day, Sunday June 18.  
This association is a rodeo training club for people ages 3 to 80. If there are any young people out there who are interested in horses, this is a great opportunity in you own area to participate in a family rodeo association.  Craig Mountain Arena will have their famous cheeseburgers for sale as well as their western hats.  
The rodeo starts at 9 a.m. and 300 entries are expected. Admission is free to the public and spectators are encouraged to attend and watch our young cowboys and cowgirls perform.

Winchester Open Rodeo set for July 1-2
The 12th Annual Winchester Open Rodeo will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 1st and 2nd.  Entries open for the following events June 20 and 21 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.  The entry phone number is 208-924-5956. 
This year there is $6000 added money on adult and children’s events and buckles awarded in each event.  The children’s events have become very popular. They are: Jr. Calf Riding, 9 & under, entry fee $20 with $100 added money; Jr. Breakaway, 14 & under, entry fee $25 with $100 added money; PeeWee Barrels, 9 & under, entry fee $15 with $100 added money; Jr. Barrels, 10 to 14, entry fee $20 with $100 added money; Jr. Calf Riding, 9 & under, $20 entry fee with $100 added money; Goat Tail Untie, 7 & under, $1 entry fee with $50 added money; Goat Tail Tie, 8 to 10,  $1 entry fee with $50 added money. Mutton Bustin is our featured event this year. Each contestant must weigh under 50 pounds. A buckle and $200 added money will be awarded both days of the rodeo.
Other events include Sr. Bull Riding, 18 & over, $70 entry with $500 added money; Jr. Bull Riding, 15 to 17, $50 entry fee with $500 added money; Open Breakaway, $40 entry fee with $500 added money; Bareback Riding $60 entry fee with $600 added money; Saddle Bronc, $60 entry fee with $600 added money; Steer Riding, 10 to 14, $30 entry with $500 added money;  Women’s Open Barrels, $40 entry fee with $500 added money; Calf Roping, $40 entry fee with $500 added money and Team Roping, $40 entry fee with $1000 added money. 
In some events the numbers will be limited so be sure to call early.
