6th Annual Paddlefest Celebration this Saturday
Come out and spend the day on the water.  The 6th annual Winchester Lake Paddlefest will take place July 15, 2006 at Winchester Lake State Park.
This special event will feature several stations with different paddling activities such as canoe and kayak safety gear, guided interpretive canoe trips, kids crafts, and a free paddle area.  The free paddle area will be available for individuals to paddle both canoes and kayaks that will be provided by Winchester Lake State Park.  Also, for your listening pleasure, Flashback, with Joe and Cyndy Beck, will be performing throughout the day.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  In the morning a free canoe clinic will be conducted from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for all those interested.  Wrap up your day at the park by joining us for our evening programs: Dutch Oven Cooking demonstration (simple and quick tasty desserts) from 7-8:30 p.m. followed by canoe videos at the Park’s amphitheater at 8:30 p.m.
Thinking of joining us the night before?  Come enjoy an educational program on the Sawtooth Pack Wolves by the Wolf Education and Research Center in the amphitheater at 8:30 p.m.
For more information and to register for the clinic, call the Winchester Lake State Park office at 208-924-7563, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m.-3p.m.
