Relay For Life event is this weekend
The planning committee for the American Cancer Society Clearwater to Salmon Rivers Relay For Life has worked the last six months in preparing for this year’s second annual event, and a big part of that preparation is in the role that the On-Site Activities chairpersons play.  They are responsible for coming up with and scheduling all the fun games and activities that will keep a crowd of children and adults of all ages busy and entertained during the 18 hours of the Relay event. Jody Hoogland and young Megan Wren have come up with many fun activities in which everyone will have a great time!  They also are responsible for setting up the Mr. Relay event in which Jeff Kutner of Grangeville will emcee this year and this is an event you will definitely want to be a part of.  If you attended the Border Day’s celebration on the 4th of July and watched the parade that day you saw our winner from last year on the Relay For Life float, Mr. Rich Workman, who has been a lovely Mr. Relay this past year and will be present to crown Mr. Relay 2006.
Here is the schedule of activities they have planned and they also will have a bulletin board set up on the track so that everyone can check out the times for certain activities.  Keep in mind that Relay For Life is a family event and that the wet t-shirt contest listed for Saturday morning is not your ordinary wet t-shirt contest, but it is a whole lot of fun.  As you can see there are good times to be had so come on out to our event next week, July 21-22 and bring your family.  You can take a break from doing laps around the track and enjoy yourself at one of the many fun activities.  Also, many of the teams have games and other fun things to participate in and you will find these as you walk around the track and check out all the teams camp sites.  We look forward to seeing you at the Relay!!
