Remacle receives state award
Jt. District 242 has been notified by the Idaho Department of Education that Mr. Dave Remacle has received the Best Idaho School Transportation Spot Inspection Award for 2005-2006. Dave Remacle, left, is presented his award by school board chairman John Nida. The Pupil Transportation Division does annual checks throughout Idaho every year.  They check records for safety and give each bus a 140-component check for mechanical safety and working order of the district bus fleet.  They examine the district bus driver training records to examine driver status concerning safety training, driver training/evaluation records, and background checks.  Careful attention is also given to financial record-keeping practices.
Mr. Remacle gives the credit to Mrs. Lynn Rehder and Mrs. Denise Uhlenkott for their accuracy in the record-keeping portion.  The drivers in District 242 are to be commended for their care and attention to safety.  Mr. Remacle believes the attention and timely reporting of safety issues has made our district one of the safest in the state and has allowed him to address safety concerns in an efficient manner.  Emphasis has always been on safety, and the 99.6% efficiency rating given by the Pupil Transportation Division shows Mr. Remacle’s concern for safety as bus supervisor of Jt. School District 242.
Mr. Kress and the school board expressed special congratulations to Dave and his driver staff.
