of Life tours begin again
The St. Mary’ Hospital Foundation is launching another set of 60 minute tours of the hospital. The tours give a behind-the-scenes look at how the hospital and clinics function. Tour guides often include doctors, administrative staff, nurses, Foundation board members and other personnel. The next tours are scheduled for Tuesday, October 31 at 8:00 a.m.; Wednesday, November 1 at 12:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 2 at 5:00 p.m. The public is invited. New residents are especially encouraged to attend. For more information or to register for a tour please call the hospital, 962-3251. 
“I’ve always liked St. Mary’s, but now I have a greater understanding of every thing they do and how they do it,” said one tour participant. “I’ve been there so many times and thought I knew everything, but I learned a lot of things I didn’t even know I didn’t know!” said another participant. According to Jim May, Development Director, the tours use the term, Circle of Life, the services provided by the hospital can begin at birth and continue throughout the entire circle of a person’s life. “St. Mary’s is proud to provide health care services for people throughout this region. Community support and interest for our hospital is crucial to making sure we have the best doctors, nurses and equipment to help people in an emergency and for all their medical needs,” said May. “We use the tours to familiarize people with our services, our staff and our operations. We try to make it interesting and, judging from tour feedback, people have enjoyed learning more about our facility.” Special tours can also be arranged for businesses, sororities, school staff, civic organizations and other groups.
