Youth Ministry active in February
My Dear Friends in Christ,
As February approaches our hearts begin to yearn for the warmth of Spring and the opportunity for new growth. It is during this month that we are invited to the process of newness as Lent begins and youth gatherings take place.
On Feb. 2nd at 8:00 p.m. we will have a social/ movie at Debbie's office. This social will be followed by Adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament. All High School youth are invited. 
On Feb. 3-4 we will be taking a group of 16 Jr. High youth to Meridian to a Jr. High Rally sponsored by the diocese. Thank you to Dan Karel, Sue Schumacher, Kyle Nelson, Clinton Seubert, and Jackye and AJ Roeper for driving and Sister Sue Ellen Drexler for chaperoning. Your help is greatly appreciated. 
On Feb. 4th, Super Bowl Sunday the youth will be delivering homemade chili and cinnamon rolls right to your door. Call Debbie at 962-7761 or Abbie at 962-5644 and leave a message. Please state your name, address, size of order, and time you want it delivered. Cost is $8.50 for 1 quart and 6 cinnamon rolls. Large order: 24 rolls and 1 gallon of chili for $30.00. All proceeds go toward 2008 mission trip to Africa. All orders must be placed by Feb. 2nd at 5:00p.m. Thank you!
On Feb 7th Debbie's Confirmation class will meet at 7:00 p.m. at the JHPB. Read chapter six and answer questions 25-30. 
Feb. 10th is the youth mass at St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. All readers and Eucharistic ministers are responsible for their assigned positions. 
On Feb. 11, 18,25, the ICYC planning team will meet in Moscow at 1 :00. We will be leaving from St. Mary's parking lot at 11 :00 p.m.
On Feb. 16th there will be a Renew meeting at the JHPB at 7:00 p.m. 
On Feb 19th we will have a social gathering at the Coffee Mill at 3 :30 p.m. All High School youth are invited. 
On Feb. 21st Lent begins. Going to mass is a great way to begin this journey, look for times and locations in the bulletin. 
Feb 25th at 7:00 p.m. all High School youth are invited to either play a musical instrument or sing at our monthly Jam Session at the Keuterville hall. This is a great time to share your talents, enjoy music and just hang out with your friends. 
On Feb. 26th Debbie's Confirmation class will meet at the Jr. High Peace Building at 7:00 p.m. Read chapter seven and answer questions 30-35. 
On Feb. 28th at 7:00 p.m. the Peer Ministry Team will be sponsoring a "game night" for the 7th and 8th grade youth. Please bring your favorite game and your favorite snack, pop will be provided. Bring your friends!
Yes, it is a time for growth as opportunities come forth. Let's help each other become the more that God calls us to be! Happy Valentines Day and may God's love shine on you in abundance!

PS: Forms to attend the Idaho Catholic Youth Convention on March 9-10 are available. Please call Debbie at 962-7761 to get a form. They must be completed and returned by Feb.10th. All High School youth are encouraged to attend!

Have chili and cinnamon rolls delivered for the Super Bowl
The Mission Team for Africa 2008 will deliver Homemade Chili and Cinnamon Rolls right to your door this Sunday, Feb. 4, just in time for the Super Bowl.
They will deliver from noon until 5 p.m. All you have to do is call and leave a message for Debbie at 962-7761 or Abbi at 962-5644. You will need to state your name, address, size of order and time you would like it delivered.
The cost is $8.50 for 1 quart of chili and 6 cinnamon rolls. You can order as much as you need. If you are having a big party you can get 1 gallon of chili and 24 cinnamon rolls for $30.
Orders need to be placed by Friday, Feb. 2. There will be an extra $2 charge for orders outside of Cottonwood.
