87 donate blood
We were about 10 donors short of our expectations at our blood drive last Tuesday.   We know there were several people who could not come because of the flu and because there will be a blood drive at the high School this month.   We had 87 donors with 77 good units and that is always good.  We certainly appreciated the new donors and hope they can continue to be so generous the next time we have a drawing.
A six gallon pin was given to Lois Lamont and Barb Remacle earned one for four gallons.  Tara Ross and Heath Klapprich both have given two gallons while Shari Chaffee is well on her way with a one gallon pin.
First timers were Tessica Nuxoll, Lynette Gentry, Lindsay Duman and Nate Gentry.   And we certainly hope they will come again. Winners of the give away gifts were Rene Forsmann, Mike Schumacher and Lindsay Duman.
Without our volunteers we could not have a successful drive.   Thank you to Elaine Schumacher, Merna Gehring, Laurine Nightingale, Helen Huntley, Doris Sonnen, Dolores von Bargen, Bobbi Schmidt, Anna Gehring, and Connie Uhlenkott.   Curt and Andy Terhaar helped tear down.
We were also assisted by the students in the HOSA organization from the high school.   What a great job they did!   They were Ryan and Kyle Daly, Nathan Kaschmitter, Kara Guyer, Carly Behler, Daniel Sigler, Conner Rieman, Alex Richardson, Taylor Ratcliff. Sarah Arnzen,  Randi Schumacher and Katie Nuxoll
Again thanks to all who donated and all who volunteered.   We will see all of you again May 2.
