Ministry Activities for July
July brings with it barbeques, family vacations and lazy days in the sun. It also invites us to reflect on God’s presence through the use of our time. It’s here that all youth are encouraged to grow in faith through an invitation to join us in the Tri-Parish youth activities for July. I will be at Boston College for the first week in July. I am working on a Spiritual Guidance certificate through the Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. Please hold me in your prayers. On July 7th all High School youth are invited to watch a movie at the Jr. High Peace Building at 8:00 p.m., adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will follow. (Please bring a snack for the movie, drinks will be provided.) On July 9th the Bread of Life Bible Study group will meet at Debbie’s office at 7:00 p.m. The focus will be: Review of the comparative response of Ruth vs. movie. On July 11th Peer Ministers meet in Debbie’s office at 5:15 p.m. to plan Jr. High Bible Study. Our social will be at the Coffee Mill from 6:00-8:00 p.m. (Please bring $5.00 for snacks and a drink). On July 13th all Release Time students who will be entering for 9th grade will meet at St. Mary’s parking lot at 4:30 p.m., we will be going to the Super 8 for swimming, eat at Subway and go to the movies. Call me if you have any questions. On July 14th all youth serving at the Hinkleman wedding need to arrive at the Greencreek Hall at 4:30 p.m. We will also do the cleanup on the outside after the wedding so please plan on staying. During the week of July 16-20th Debbie will be working at the High School Retreat at the monastery which is sponsored by the Diocese of Boise. We have youth attending this retreat; please pray for Abbi Lustig, Calista Karel and Gina Seubert. On July 20th the Relay for life team who is walking in memory of Maxine Tacke will meet at the Grangeville track at 4:00 p.m. to set up. We will be walking until noon on Saturday; July 21st. if you have questions or would like to buy a luminary please call Gina Seubert of Amber Frei. On July 23rd there will be a Renew meeting in Debbie’s office at 7:00 p.m., life issues discussed. On July 25th all Jr. High youth are invited to the Jr. High Peace Building at 7:00 p.m. On July 31st the team for Africa will have a short meeting at the Jr. High Peace Building at 7:00 p.m. We will be hosting a car wash on August 1st (More information to follow).
