Escapees are recaptured
The Idaho Department of Correction and area law enforcement agencies began searching for two inmates who climbed over a fence and escaped from North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood, Idaho at about 9:15 PM Wednesday, July 18. 
18-year-old Scott Michael Hernandez (#85817) was serving a retained jurisdiction sentence for grand theft from Kootenai County.   He is white, 6’1”, 185 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes.
18-year-old Cody Robert Nesland (#84727) was also serving a retained jurisdiction sentence for grand theft. He was convicted in Ada County.  He is white, 6’0”, 160 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes.
Both men were caught Thursday, July 19 at about 9:30 AM.
An Idaho County Sheriff’s deputy found Hernandez and Nesland on Highway 95 near the town of Fenn about 10 miles from NICI.  A citizen had reported seeing the men in the area.  They were taken back into custody without incident.
Both men will now face charges related to the escape.
