Youth Activities for August
I would like to invite all of you to embrace the last few weeks of summer by spending time with your family and friends. Moreover, I would also like to invite the youth to join our youth ministry as we come together as a Catholic family to learn and grow as a community of faith. It is here that memories are made and God’s presence becomes visible. On August 1st the team for Africa will be doing a car wash at the Cottonwood Fire Station from 9:00 a.m.- 4 p.m. All proceeds go toward the 2008 Africa Mission Trip. Your participation is greatly appreciated! On Friday, August 3rd the youth are invited to the JHPB to watch a movie. Please bring your favorite snack, drinks will be provided. Following the movie we will be going to Adoration at St. Mary’s from 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. All High School youth are invited and encouraged to attend. On August 5th the youth will be working at the popcorn stand at the Raspberry Festival from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please stop by and get some popcorn. We would love to see you! (Thank you Kate Dutcher and Stacie Dinning for volunteering to help the youth). During the week of August 6-10, Debbie and four of our local youth will be attending, a Junior High Camp which is located close to Sun Valley Idaho. This camp is sponsored by the diocese of Boise. The youth that will be attending are; Kendra Dinning, Josh Roeper, Kyle Uhlenkott, and Samantha Keating. Please keep us all in your prayers. On August 13th the Bread of Life Bible Study group will meet in Debbie’s office @ 7:00 p.m. Debbie will be going on a family vacation from August 15th – 22nd. On August 27th the Peer Ministers will meet in Debbie’s office at 7:00 p.m. We will be planning for future Junior High Bible Studies. On August 29th all High School and Junior High youth are invited to a social at the Coffee Mill from 6:00-8:00. Please bring $5.00 to cover your food and drink.
