The Intergenerational Action Group, which is part of the Horizons Program for community development is this week’s featured article.
Some of the group’s goals include: bridging youth-elder relationships throughout the community, improving youth leadership participation and skills, and taking care of community residents at all stages of life.
This group is co-chaired by Chinh Le and Mary Uhlorn.  Other members of the group include Arlene Baerlocher, Danielle Cochran, Jennifer Cochran, Sr. Sue Ellen Drexler, Marlo Gray, Julie Hankerson, Lauretta Poxleitner, and Shantell Talbott.
The next meeting for the group is scheduled for Tuesday, December 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Community Hall (room adjacent to the library).  They will be discussing goals and action plans for the Assisted Living Center Project.  Both co-chairs encourage community participation by stating,  “You are invited to come and give us your ideas and input for this important community vision.”   If you have any questions, please call Katie Cooper at (208) 962-3224. 
The Intergenerational Action Group will also met in January on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library.

Communication, Coordination, Celebration Action Group will meet on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Angie’s Craft & Supply on Main Street in Cottonwood.
Welcome to the Prairie Action Group will meet on Monday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. at 7:00 p.m. at the Monastery Small Dining Room.
