Kaschmitter is 3rd place winner
Jessica Kaschmitter, a 6th grade student at Prairie Middle School was the overall 3rd place winner in the Idaho State Department of Education’s Holiday Card Contest.

Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna announced the winners last Wednesday, Dec. 12.
The 1st and 2nd place winners were both from the Lewiston School District.
“The Department’s annual Holiday Card Contest is a great way to highlight the important of the arts in education,” Luna said. “We had hundreds of great entries this year, and I am proud of all the students who entered in this contest for their talent and creativity.”
Each of the winning students receives a certificate of recognition, and the winning artworks are posted on the State Department of Education’s website at http://www.sde.idaho.gov/newsandpress/mediacenter.asp.
