Heath awarded Soroptimist scholarship
Soroptimist International of Grangeville and the Grangeville Elks Lodge No. 1825 held a reception Wednesday, April 9th at the Elks Lodge honoring outstanding scholars and their parents in our area.  Among those invited to attend the reception from Prairie High School were Sarah Arnzen, Jessica Gehring, Carson Heath, Alex Richardson, Kimberly Schaeffer, Tiffany Schaeffer and Ariel Whitley.Carson Heath with his parents Gordon and Theresa after being awarded the scholarship.
Carson Heath and Chantel Boniecki were nominated as Prairie High School's Elks Teenagers of the Year.  They were chosen by a group of their peers as best representing our school for their committment to their school and their community.  
Carson Heath was selected, from a number of applicants in the surrounding area, as this year's Soroptimist Scholarship winner and was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for college.  
Prairie High School band serenaded us with a number of excellent tunes to help make for a very pleasant evening.
Congratulations to both students and their parents and to the band for such a fine performance.
