Girls win team title at Lapwai
The Prairie girls track team took the team title in an 11-team track meet held at Lapwai Thursday, April 24. 
NaTosha Schaeffer won the 300 hurdles in 56.9 while the 4x100 and 4x200 relays each took first place.
The 4x100 team of Kristin Hill, Schaeffer, Katie Nuxoll and Kayla Lorentz had a time of 56.9 while the 4x200 team of the same athletes had a time of 2:02.0.
Schaeffer also had a third place in the 100 hurdles in 19.8.
Nuxoll was second in the triple jump at 30’5½”.
Betty Clark took second in the 1600 at 6:45.1 and third in the 3200 at 15:14.0.
Mary Shears was third in the 800 in 2:54.3.
The girls team totaled 97 points to edge second place Genesee by 11 points.
The boys team totaled just 12 points with Kenneth Enneking as the only top 3 finisher with a second place in the shot put at 40’3½”.
Several of the team members competed at Moscow on Friday instead of this meet. No results are available for that meet.

Shumway breaks school record again
Kyler Shumway extended his school record in the shot put to 54’9” at the Moscow Invitational Track Meet last Friday, April 25.
He won the event and stayed unbeaten for the season.
