Relay for Life June update
Whoo Hoo!! The Clearwater To Salmon Rivers Relay For Life planning committee is gearing up for a fabulous 2008 event.
Friday, July 18 through Saturday, July 19 at the Grangeville High School track is the place to be for 18 hours of family fun. There will be a celebration of Hope with cancer survivors at 5:00 pm and also a time to stop and remember those we have lost to cancer during the Luminaria Ceremony at 10 pm.. "There's No Place Like Hope" is this year's theme and everyone is encouraged to dress up as your favorite character from The Wizard Of Oz and join in the celebration.
Over 20 teams have signed up and we encourage anyone interested in joining a team or forming a team to come to one of the meetings set for June 30th at the Soltman Center; committee meets at 6:00 pm and team captains at 7:00 pm. The first Bank Night is set for June 16th at the Syringa Annex meeting room which you enter through the clinic.
Team captains are encouraged to turn in the money they have collected so far and all the paperwork, mainly the T-shirt order forms, at this meeting. Watch for news of your local Relay team as many of them have fund raisers scheduled between now and July 18th. The committee invites everyone to come be a part of your 2008 American Cancer Society's Clearwater To Salmon Rivers Relay For Life event this July 18 and 19.
We want to invite all cancer survivor's to join us for a celebration reception on Friday evening. For more information please call Jody Hoogland at 983-5585.
