Winners for the Catholic Daughter’s Education Contest
The Catholic Daughter’s Education Contest was held again this spring.  There were many participants from Cottonwood School District, Summit Academy and St. Peter and Paul’s in Grangeville.  Five participants won at the local level and also at the State level.  Their entries are now being sent on to the National level.  Those winners are Kayla Duclos for computer art – division II, Eric Kaschmitter for computer art – division I, Savanah Prigge for essay and for poster – division II, Kimberly Frei for poetry – division III and Derek Nuxoll for art – division II.  Other participants who won at the local level are as follows.  Computer art – Division I – Garrett Kennedy (2nd), Drew Lindsley (3rd).  Division II – Joshua Schoske (2nd), Cody Killmar (3rd).  Essay – Division I – Justin Ross (1st), Ali Hoene (2nd).  Division II – Tanna Schlader (2nd), Courtney Schwartz (3rd).  Division III – Kimberly Frei (1st).  Poetry – Division I – Jolene Chmelik (1st), Taylor Wilkins (2nd), Whitney Sonnen (3rd).  Division II – Michael Rehder (1st), Patrick Green (2nd), Faith Bieler (3rd).  Division III – Sandra Koeple (2nd).  Art – Division I – Casey Miller (1st), Holli Uhlorn (2nd), Josh Frei (3rd).  Division II – Alex Duman (2nd), Adrianne Nuxoll (3rd).  Photography – Division II – Jacey Arnzen (1st), Rachel Falzon (2nd), Kody Duclos (3rd) and Poster – Division II – Michael Rehder (2nd), Courtney Schwartz (3).  Pictures of these winners are also in the paper this week.
