Winchester Open Rodeo is July 5-6
The 14th annual Winchester Open Rodeo will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 5th & July 6th, starting at 2 p.m. each day.  Concessions and a beer garden will be available on the rodeo grounds.  Seating is limited so come early and bring your lawn chairs for best selection of spots along the fence.  This is an “old fashion hand on the fence family rodeo.”
The Winchester Open Rodeo is known all over as a “cowboy’s rodeo” where their whole family is welcome.  The rodeo is produced in full partnership with B X Rodeo Co., the stock provider, Craig Mountain Arena Association and Dodge National.
This year close to 250 contestants, coming from 5 states have signed up to compete in the Winchester Rodeo.  The Women’s Open Barrel Racing will be one of the largest barrel racing events to be held this year in the Pacific Northwest.  Over 50 barrel racers have signed up to date, with more expected before the rodeo.
The featured event this year is Saddle Bronc Riding.  To date there are 14 entries in this category with more expected.  Added money for this event is $1000.
All of the kid’s events can be entered the day of the rodeo.  Mutton Bustin and Goat Tail events can be entered both days as there are no limits on entries.
Admission is $6 per person and 6 years and under free.  Parking is free.
A featured event this year will be Larry LaRocco working in the cook shack with all the beautiful girls.  Larry will be there from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 5.  Come by the cook shack, have a great burger and visit with Larry.
