Come to Keuterville’s Country Picnic
Thanks to our generous communities, the new roof on Holy Cross Chapel is almost complete—and it’s time to celebrate!
Please join us at Keuterville’s Country Picnic on Sunday, September 14th.  The celebration begins at 12 noon with Mass at Holy Cross Chapel, followed immediately by a picnic and “Basket Social” in the church yard.
This is NOT a fundraiser—it’s a family event meant to celebrate the near-completion of a long-awaited project.  And none of it would have been possible without the generosity of our community.
The afternoon of entertainment starts about 2 p.m. with kids’ games and races, hayrides, horseshoes, and an arm-wrestling contest.
The lucky raffle winner of the painting of Holy Cross Chapel will be drawn at 3 p.m.  There’s still time to get your tickets at the office of Lauretta Poxleitner, MCPA, Harman Agency, Riener’s Grocery, Cottonwood Credit Union, or Keuterville Pub and Grub.  Or purchase your tickets in Keuterville on Sunday.  You need not be present to win.
Baskets are still being accepted for the “Basket Social” auction, and businesses, groups, and individuals are all invited to take part in the fun.  So call you closest friends and plan a menu, or call Lynn, 962-3133, for some mouth-watering ideas of what to put in your basket.
It’s certain to be a memorable day in Keuterville, so pack a picnic, bid on a basket, or grab a hamburger while you’re there…just be sure to stop and take a good look at the 96-year-old Holy Cross Chapel.  Thanks to all of you, it’s looking pretty good for its age.
