Income survey planned
The City of Cottonwood is announcing that 196 households will receive an income survey to determine the city's eligibility for an Idaho Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG).  The Clearwater Economic Development Association (CEDA), who will be administering the survey, randomly selected the households.
According to Denis Duman Cottonwood's mayor, the city is working in cooperation with Prairie Horizons to identify funding options to help pay for the Cottonwood Community Hall renovation project.  One source of the funding for this project is the Idaho Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG).
In order to apply for these funds, the Mayor and City Council are required to conduct an income survey in order to determine grant eligibility.  The income survey is confidential; no names will be attached to the results.
CEDA will process the results in their Lewiston office and inform the city if our community qualifies for grant assistance.  The survey will be conducted in-person by local volunteers.  Individuals who are selected for the survey will be contacted in the next several weeks to complete this confidential survey.  If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at 962-3231.
