Saturday at Keuterville Pub & Grub
Come and join the Sisters from the Monastery of St. Gertrude for “Sisters Saturday” at the Keuterville Pub & Grub, November 8, 4-8 pm. The Sisters will prepare and serve all-you-can-eat tacos, $8/person. A portion of the proceeds from this event will support the Monastery Windows Campaign.
“We are busy planning this fun afternoon and evening and hope that our friends will gather at the Keuterville Pub & Grub for food, fun, music and time to visit with the Sisters,” event chair Sr. Kim Marie Jordan said. “We are deeply grateful to Keuterville Pub & Grub owner Linda Elliott for agreeing to host this event in support of our Windows Campaign.”
“Sisters Saturday” will feature all-you-can-eat tacos, festive music, door prizes and the opportunity to meet and visit with many Sisters from the monastery.
“I am very happy to support the Sisters’ Windows Campaign,” said Linda Elliott. “The Sisters contribute to so many businesses on the Camas Prairie and I am honored to help them raise money for their windows replacement.”
The Windows Campaign, “See Our Life, Share Our Future”, is a special part of the Sisters’ Capital Campaign to make major renovations to the historic monastery. They replaced all 273 original windows in the monastery at a cost of $606,000. “Thanks to our generous friends and donors who have contributed more than $530,000 to this project we are close to covering the cost of the windows,” reported Sr. Mary Kay Henry, Director of Development for the monastery. “Learn more about the campaign at www.StGertrudes.org/windows/index.htm.
The Sisters and Keuterville Pub & Grub look forward to seeing you at this exciting evening which promises fun for the whole family.
