Idaho Farm Bureaus sponsors Speech Contest
Idaho Farm Bureau is sponsoring a Speech Contest with the theme "Idaho Agriculture - Making a Difference." All students, grades 9 - 12 in public school, private school or home schooled are eligible and encouraged to enter. Participants need not be Farm Bureau members.
The speech must be not less than five minutes or more than eight minutes in length. Notes are permissible. Reading scripts is not allowed. There will be a 1st and 2nd place winner. District winners will compete January 26, 2009 in Boise. 
Allowances will be given by the State and District Women's Committee for travel, hotel and meal expenses for District participants while attending the finals in Boise.
Contestants will be judged on Contents, Audience Appeal and Presentation. Cash prizes will be awarded at the State Finals as follows: 1st Place, $150; 2nd Place, $100; all other participants, $50.
