Auction and Haystack Feed a Success
The Prairie girls and boys basketball teams sponsored a haystack feed and dessert auction on Sunday, November 16th, at the Prairie High School Gymnasium. The evening began with the two teams scrimmaging with each other and their coaches. During the scrimmages haystacks were served and the crowd was able to participate in a "Shoot for Soda" contest. The evening finale was the dessert auction. Over 30 donated desserts were auctioned. The girls and boys basketball teams and their coaches would like to thank everyone who purchased a dessert, and the parents who donated food and desserts. A special thank you goes to Stephanie Wagner for her dessert donation, Pepsi for donating Pepsi products, and Brian Schaeffer and Dennis Rowland for conducting the auction. The teams would also like to thank Lynn and Sue Guyer, Ed and Sherry Holthaus, Michele Byers, Laurie Lorentz and Susan Schaeffer for organizing the event, and Gus and Ann Hoene and family for all of their hard work helping set up for the event. |
