Knowledge Bowl team takes 5th
Twelve teams in the INL Scholastic Tournament competed in the Class C North Region division for 4 trips to the state competition - Kendrick, Lakeside, Nezperce, Highland, Summit Academy, Potlatch, Logos, Troy, Prairie, Clearwater Valley, Couer 'd Alene Charter and Lapwai. Congrats to the PHS Knowledge Bowl team of Jason VonBargen, Kevin and Mike Karel, Garrett Workman, Brock Heath, Josh Roeper and Silas Whitley! They did very well at Regional Competition at the University of Idaho on February 19th, and almost qualified for State. They handily won their first match against Troy, lost to Logos, and then beat Lakeside and Highland. Next they were up against Troy again for the 4th place slot and lost in a heartbreaker of a match. Teams qualifying for the State INL Scholastic Tournament were Nezperce, Couer 'd Alene Charter, Logos and Troy. Congrats also goes out to Jason VonBargen who was 1 of 8 students selected by the area coaches to the All- Regional Knowledge Bowl team. It was a great day!
