Chocolate Fantasy is Saturday
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School will host its 15th annual Chocolate Fantasy Auction fund-raiser Saturday, March 14, at the Grangeville Elks Lodge.  Doors will open at 6 p.m. for sipping champagne, tasting the delectables and bidding on silent auction items. The live auction will begin at 7:30.
The Chocolate Fantasy is coordinated by the Home & School Association of Sts. Peter and Paul School.  In order to keep tuition costs low, they sponsor this annual fundraiser to cover some of the costs of operating a private school.  Currently, Saints Peter and Paul School boasts the lowest tuition rate for a private Catholic school in the state.
New this year is "The People's Choice Award".  The winning ticket will be drawn just before the live auction starts, and the winner will be awarded their choice of any package from the live or silent auction tables.  Only 100 tickets will be sold, at a cost of $50 per chance.  The winner of the drawing must be present or have a proxy at the event to be eligible to claim their prize. "The opportunity to pick ANY item, for a $50 chance, is an exciting prospect!!" expressed Karla Krogh, publicity chairman for the event.  "I am sure the 100 tickets will sell quickly" she added.
A wide variety of packages will be sold to the highest bidder by auctioneer Jim Church with the help of Master of Ceremonies Mark Vanderwall.  One-of-a-kind packages include once-a-month homemade baked goods, meals and movies, out-of-town getaway packages, classroom projects created by students of SPPS, a ride on the fire truck with Santa, and handcrafted wood furnishings.  "The support of area businesses and residents, along with school families and parishioners, make the Chocolate Fantasy such a success" noted Laurie Rockwell, who serves on the donations committee.  "Not to mention, a fun night out!" she added.
Advance tickets are available for $15 per person at The Gallery, Saints Peter and Paul School, Lindsley's Furniture and Farm Bureau Insurance in Grangeville.   Tickets will be available at the door for $20 per person, and seating is limited.  Those attending must be 21 or older. Call the school at (208)983-2182 for more information.
