Hoem buying workshop in Kamiah
The next Community Action Partnership class for ALL POTENTIAL home buyers is scheduled for Saturday April 11th from 8:30 am to 5 pm at the Hearthstone Bakery meeting room in Kamiah.  The first section, Preparing For Home Ownership, helps home buyers understand credit and qualifying for the best mortgages.  Part two, The Purchase Process, looks at alternative loan products, shopping for a home, and negotiations.  Tips are provided on finding deals (including buying foreclosures) and avoiding pitfalls.  The last section, Preventing Problems, takes participants through inspections, repairs, appraisals, insurance, closing, and foreclosure prevention.  
The program meets the homebuyer education requirements of several lending programs including: Idaho and Washington Housing Finance, Fannie Mae, Rural Housing, and HOME Start Grants.
The instructor is Barbara Leachman, Med, CAP Housing Director.  The class includes guest speakers from the mortgage lending, real estate sales, and home inspection industries.  The location is 502 Main St. In downtown Kamiah.  Pre-Registration and a $10 refundable deposit to hold a seat are required.  Call: (208) 746-3351 or 1-800-326-4843 and ask to register for the finally HOME!
