Paint the town purple
It’s time to gear up for the 2009 Clearwater to Salmon Rivers Relay for Life to be held July 17-18 at the Grangeville High School track.
To get Cottonwood in the Relay spirit we will be having our first “Paint the Town Purple” week from May 30th to June 5th.
The 4-H Wanders relay team will be decorating Main Street with purple ribbons and balloons to celebrate the survivors of cancer and bring awareness to the fight against this disease. We are asking the community to join in by wearing purple and showing their support.
To kick off the week, Chef Rod Quick will be presenting “ Le’ Beef for the Cure” on May 30th at the Cottonwood Community Hall. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a no-host social hour and silent auction. A choice of Prime Rib or Shrimp dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Your $25 donation to this event will benefit the American Cancer Society.
Dinner tickets will be available at the Mini-Village of by calling Tami at 983-6505. Please RSVP by May 28th.
