youth activities for November
Dear youth, As a new season draws near our hearts turn toward the thoughts of holidays, family and community. It is in this mindset the Tri-parish youth family invites all our youth to join us as we continue to grow in faith and community through activities, prayer, and involvement in our church. On Nov. 1st Debbie will be attending a Deanery Meeting to discuss the involvement of our youth and young adults in our parishes and how this involvement fits with the broader diocesan picture of "All at the Table". On Nov. 2nd the girls dating session will meet in Debbie's office at 7:00 p.m. Jenna Murdock will be leading this session so please call her if you have questions. (507-0193) - Also, please remember to bring your books. From Nov. 2nd until Nov. 4th Debbie will be attending a Youth Ministry Round up in Boise with other Youth Ministers from throughout the state to discuss the Confirmation process and review the "All at the Table" plan. On Friday, Nov. 6th the High School youth and Jr. High youth are invited to begin the month with an hour of early Adoration at 5:00 a.m. at St. Mary's church. Our time with the Lord with be followed with a time to gather in fellowship at the Coffee Mill. We will be enjoying a wonderful breakfast made by Bonnie beginning at 6:00 a.m. Please bring $5.00 for the breakfast. All High School youth are invited and encouraged to attend. On Nov. 9th the Confirmation candidates will be meeting at the JHPB at 7:30. Please read pamphlet number 1 in your packet and be ready to discuss it. If you have not paid your $35.00 please bring it to class. On Nov. 11th the Peer Ministry leadership team is asked to attend a meeting at Ferdinand Hall at 7:00 p.m. Marcie Wilskie will be talking about the diocesan plan for youth and young adults. All peer ministers are asked to attend. This session will be a great opportunity to grow in knowledge and leadership skills! On Nov. 16th all High School youth are invited to attend a Thanksgiving basket delivery planning night in Debbie's office at 7:00 p.m. Your presence is greatly appreciated. On Nov. 18th at 5:30 the HS youth will meet at the JHPB to make and deliver Thanksgiving baskets. Please do not be late! On Nov. 22nd the Release Time youth will meet at Greencreek at 7:15 a.m. to host the monthly youth mass. Please remember each of the grades is assigned a part of the Mass and you are asked be prepared to participate as assigned. Youth choir will practice before Mass unless you are informed otherwise. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this wonderful celebration of Eucharistic community with our Tri-parish youth. We look forward to seeing you there as we head into the week of Thanksgiving! There will be no youth activities scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving. Have a wonderful and blessed time with your family as you gather together in thankfulness and praise for all that God has done and continues to do in your life. On Nov. 30th the Confirmation class will meet at the JHPB at 7:30 to begin our 2nd session together. Please read pamphlet 2 and be prepared to discuss it Please note: because of the holiday we will not have a Jr. High REACH session, Theology of the Body small group gathering or monthly social. We will resume these groups in December. May this month bring you a heart of thankfulness and a mind filled with gratitude. Please remember that you are invited to join us as we come together to share our Christian journey as a church fully alive.
