Bräts and Brew contest is Saturday
Just a few more days to buy yours tickets for the Bräts and Brew fundraiser for the Prairie Community Library.  Pat Trautman has been busy this week making the table decorations for the Brats & Brew contest.
This Saturday, November 14th the Cottonwood Community Hall will be transformed into a German Festtage, der Martinstag.  Homebrewed bier tasting begins at 6:00pm along with a no host bar.
Sausage (knockwurst), old fashioned sauerkraut, German bread and other scrumptious foods (gerichte) like Kartoffeln mit Käsesosse can be tasted after 7:00pm. If you are entering the sausage (bratwurst) competition, please register before Friday so we can plan to have enough for everyone.
Tables for 10 people may be reserved in advance if you wish.  Everyone is also invited to bring CD’s of their favorite polka music or other German songs.  Come and bring your friends, even if you are not German,  and be prepared to have a great time celebrating our German heritage.
