Ski Skoop
Kudos should go out to the Cottonwood Butte Ski Area volunteers for launching yet another great season this past weekend.
There was a large turnout for Saturday’s opening and Sunday was another great day, although there was a slight hiccup getting up and running.  Some runs had to be re-groomed because a four wheel drive pickup left ruts on the face of the first hill.  The volunteers got busy to fix the run and skiing and boarding was able to resume.
The Butte will be open on Friday nights for the entire month of January, as well as Saturday s and Sundays.  Come up and enjoy a burger from the grill and watch the skiers and boarders.  CBSA has some amazing local talent that is at the hill on a regular basis.   Watching everyone have such a great time can be inspiring. CBSA has great instructors for lessons and the rental shop has low cost rentals.  Come up to the hill and give a big thanks to the volunteers that make the Cottonwood Butte Ski Area a great place for family fun. Volunteers are easy to find, each day that the ski hill is open there are at least six volunteers working to make sure that the days skiing and boarding runs smoothly.  The hill will be open Monday January 18th from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. weather permitting.  Call 962-3624 and check the CBSA answering machine for closures.
