Kindergarten screening set
Thirteen Prairie Middle School staff members attended the Idaho middle Level Conference March 18-20, 2010.
The conference was titled, A Journey through the Middle.  Staff members heard from the guest speaker about how important teachers and staff members are to the students we serve.  The conference also focused on how teachers can determine the outcome of a child’s day by how we come to school and how we interact with students.  Our staff learned the importance of staying positive for kids even when times are very challenging.  Staff attended workshops such as “Optimist versus Pessimist”, “ Same Process Different Outcome”,  “The Power and Synergy of This We Believe”,  “Meetings that Work”,  “Engaging Middle Level Social Studies/Language Arts Learners through problem-based learning”, “Keep them Guessing”, “Whatever it Takes:  Building a Response to Intervention”, and many more.
Prairie Middle School staff worked for 2 years to earn money to attend this workshop.
