Scramble set for July 25
St. Mary’s Hospital and Clinics will be hosting their 11th annual golf scramble on Sunday, July 25 at the Grangeville Golf and Country Club. Openings are available for both golfers and hole sponsors. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of SMHC. 
“We limit the number of four person teams to 16 and use the scramble format so everyone is guaranteed a good time. We have openings for both donors and golfers,” said Jim May, SMHC Foundation Development Director. “The scramble is followed by a dinner and awards presentation. This year two hole in one competitions will be held with $10,000 prizes. Another tee shot within six feet of the 9th and 18th holes competition will also be held. Prizes will also be awarded for first, second and third places. Each golfer is free to invite a guest to the dinner. It’s included in the entry fee. The scramble is an opportunity for golfers and donors to support local health care while having a good time. The entry fee of $55 per player includes greens fee, a dinner, non alcoholic beverages plus the additional dinner for a player’s guest. Teams registered for the 18 hole scramble must have a minimum combined team handicap of 55 and only one player per team can have a handicap of 12 or less. Each team must use every player’s drive at least twice. Proceeds become part of a legacy endowment that will benefit the hospital for years to come.
