PHS registration set for August 10
Registration at Prairie High School will be held Tuesday, August 10 from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m.
Prairie High School will be mailing out a copy of your registration prior to registration. 
Registration fees include the yearbook $45, activity fee$45 and class dues $10 for a total of $100 payable the day of registration.  All students participating in any school activity, i.e. sports, band, knowledge, bowl need to pay the activity fee and the class dues.  The yearbook is optional.  Girls interested in Prairie League need also pay $5 dues at the time of registration.  ALL ACTIVITY FEES ($45) MUST BE PAID BEFORE PARTICIPATION IN EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND BEFORE ALLOWING YOU TO PRACTICE.
Lunch prices $2/day $40 month.  You may pay ahead to the hot lunch program.  If you are new to the community, please call the high school counselor, Lydia Deiss 962-3901 to make an appointment to come in and register.  You may also come the AFTERNOON of August 10, 1-3p.m.  You will need your immunization records and a certified birth certificate.
All student athletes grades 9 and 11 and first time athletes will need to have a new physical on file in the office before you can participate or practice in football or volleyball or any winter or spring sport.  Please bring your completed physical forms to the office at the time of registration.

Middle School registration is August 11
Registration for the 2010-11 school year at Prairie Middle School will take place on Wednesday, August 11 from 8 to 11:30 a.m.
Parents and Students – If you are interested in taking care of charges in advance of school starting, we will be open on August 11, 2010 from 8:00 – 11:30 a.m.  School charges are as follows:
Lunch prices - $1.60, PE Uniforms $25.00, Math Geometer  $4.25, Assignment Books $3.50
Your child’s schedule and locker assignments will be available as well.
All junior high athletes must have a physical on file before starting practice.

School open houses planned
Prairie Elementary and Prairie Middle Schools will be holding an open house on Tuesday, August 24, from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. 
Food will be provided at Prairie Middle School for all that attend the open houses.  Come checkout your child’s classroom, meet the teachers, talk to us about Title I, Power School Parent Access, and just take  a look around. 
Book Fairs
The elementary and middle schools will be holding book fairs during the open house.  Both groups will be in the elementary gym.  The book fairs will continue to stay open throughout the first week of school.

PHS band practice set
The Prairie H.S. Band will make their traditional appearance in the Idaho County Fair Parade on Saturday, August 21st.  A warm up practice is planned for Saturday, August 14th on the football field at Prairie Middle School. 
PHS Band members will be hosting a car wash at the Cottonwood Fire Department on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  A BBQ cook out will be set up at the park immediately following the car wash.  Band practice will begin on the field at the middle school at 2:00 pm. and run until 3:30 p.m.
Participation in the parade is open to all PHS students regardless of enrollment status for the new school year. We also invite and encourage PHS graduates home for the summer, and any adults in the community who play an instrument to join us in the parade this year.
